If you want to set the record straight do so with your real name. Everyone can say they know someone when they use a screen name. I think your assertions may be only slightly true. I agree that the Bandits should have planned better. By this I mean they should have never been at the FSFG this long. Has been a PROBLEM the FSFG since the doors closed the first time.

You said they passed up revenue they could have taken in to help the Bandits. I would say they passed up the revenue because they had a tenant who was there bringing in revenue WEEKLY.

Poor planning on the Bandits part? YES. Does the FSFG need new board members? YES They probably need someone who watches sports. Sports in general have playoffs or championships at the end of the season. If we need to explain it to them, tell them its kind of like the National Finals Rodeo.

Poor planning YES. It was the planning of being in the FSFG when you announced the move to another arena. Crap flows downhill and right now the Bandits are in the valley and the FSFG is sitting on the throne.

For all the nice things said about the atmosphere in the Barn, I would agree. But what price should you pay to have it? No parking money. No concessions profit. I say good riddens to the house that Mary built.

First Off, Y-townsteelhounds, How are your boys doing in the playoffs?

Second, All of this could have been avoided by the Bandits by just simply Booking the arena. Just like the Sheelhounds did in the CHL. THEY BOOKED AND PAID FOR ICE TIME THROUGH THE WHOLE SEANSON AND THE PLAYOFFS just so they could play the hockey games @ HOME. They (the Bandits) could have booked this time 3 years ago (THE SAME TIME THEY BOOKED FOR THE REGULAR SEASON)
I am not saying I agree with the Sheelhounds of the CHL after knowing they would not be in the playoffs not to rent the building to the NAHL but that is a different story.

HINT. The FSFG is not charging The Bandits anying. THey are doing this for the fans of Texarkana.

Doesn't Wichita Falls have this problem? They must have RV shows and concerts in the Kay Yeager, but I've never heard of the Wildcats having to play home games on the road.

I live in fear each season of the Bandits current predicament. I don't understand everything going against the Bandits at this time. Surely someone had the power and bucks to have ice much closer to home AND if a different blog is correct, why on earth would the only phone line be given to the opposing team?

We have 3 seperate facilities that make up the MPEC. One is the KYC, which is where the hockey and concerts are, one is an exhibit hall where the World Of Wheels etc is at, and the last is an Ag-Barn similiar to the Four States Barn. For concerts, they just cover the ice with plywood. Its not like we get a bunch of concerts here anyway.
